Q1: Is it not a contradiction to say that no one can show the way to truth and that your schools help their members to understand themselves?

Q3: What is it in the human mind that wants to follow a leader, a guru, a system, a belief, be obedient to something?

Q4: How can I meet my pain totally? It invariably remains partial and becomes an abstraction and the pain continues?

Q5: Why talk about pain? Why not talk about beautiful things?

Q1: We find ourselves living in fear of violence. How do we meet life as it is today?

Q2: Is man's search for something truly religious simply an extension of his acquisitiveness, selfishness, or is it a deep fundamental movement towards an ultimate reality?

Q3: What is right action so that we meet everything in our lives?

Q5: Liberating insight has been the unique achievement of individuals like Buddha and Christ. How can it be a matter of the whole of humanity?

Thought and the Problems of Our World

As human beings living in this dreadful world realizing we are the rest of mankind what are we to do? Is thinking limited because it is based on knowledge? Is there an approach uncontaminated by thought?

Can we think together observing what is going on in the world and inwardly?

What is the truth of relationship? What is the truth of the divisions between human beings? Is the root of it the concept of the individual?

To understand deeply and eradicate that which is false can I be free from the concept not just from the problems it creates and face the actuality of what is?

Looking At the Whole Content of Consciousness

Can we look directly at our relationship with each other?

Relationship is based on individuals. Is the deep rooted cause of conflict in our relationships our thinking that each one is separate? Is it possible to wipe away this separate feeling?

Society is aggressive, violent, competitive. Is our relationship similar to that? Is it merely a pursuit of pleasure? Is whatever I do selfish?

Can we look at the whole movement of existence? Is love time or thought, a remembrance or is love the awakening of the whole brain? Is it possible for the brain to function as a whole? Is there basically deep love or merely the pursuit of pleasure and expression of our desire?

Love and Compassion with its Intelligence

Are pleasure, fear, sorrow based on knowledge? Can suffering and love go together? Does seeking security in knowledge deny love?

The observer of sorrow is sorrow. Can you remain with a fact and not translate it according to your prejudice, your want?

If I am to die why should I live a moral life? Isn't there a new beginning if I end all attachment, with its corruption?

If the content, which is fear, pleasure loneliness is not then what is my consciousness? Can the whole content of consciousness be wiped away by insight?

The Religious Life, Beauty, and Meditation

Is beauty in a painting? Is it possible to be free of oneself to look at the world?

Is meditation the effort of practising? Who is the controller and what is he going to control?

When knowledge has occupied the brain how can it experience anything original? Can the brain trained for a million years to measure put aside its conditioning and be fresh? Is that beauty?

Do we listen with occupied brains? Can the brain ever be quiet, absolutely still? That is part of the enquiry into meditation.
