Q: You said thought is responsible for all our problems and raised the question, whether there is any other instrument to resolve our conflict. Please explain.

Has not thought created that you are a Hindu? If you accept that, then thought has created the division between Hindu and Muslim. And thought, because of this division, brings about war. Having created the problem, thought then says "I must solve it." Thought has its place. Where do you draw the line, when thought is necessary and when it is not?

Thought is not the answer to our quarrels. One must find another instrument which is not thought. To enquire into this there must be freedom from opinions, from conclusions. So will you drop your conclusions to investigate. Like a boat in a harbour that must sail, it must remove the anchor and then move.

To end division you must have love.

Q1: The Indian mind for centuries has probed. In spite of this, today it is completely materialistic. What has happened to that ancient wisdom of the mind?

Q2: The body ages, but is the ageing of the mind inevitable?

Q3: Can thought be separated from sensory perception?

What Instrument Will Solve Human Problems?

How can you investigate into yourself, your consciousness? If thought is not the instrument to solve human problems, what is?

With what intention do we listen? To examine anything, don't we need a free mind?

What is happening in our daily life and to the rest of the world? Hasn't each of us contributed to the chaos?

Has thought been responsible for conflict? Is there outward order without inward order? Isn't thought, the outcome of knowledge, limited?

Can the brain have extraordinary capacity outwardly and inwardly?

The Mirror of Relationship

What actually is relationship in daily life? Why do we have such need for attachment? What are the implications and is attachment love?

Can we live without any image in relationship? How do you observe what you are in the mirror of relationship?

What does it mean to look? Can you look at something without the word?

Is evolution, movement from "what is" to "what should be", one of the causes of conflict? Is duality one of the causes of conflict?

Is your consciousness separate from you or what you observe is what you are?

Reading the Book of Mankind

Q: What is the nature of "what is"?

The whole history of man for two millions years, or forty thousand years, is part of our consciousness, our story.

Do you, having studied the world's history, admit or see the truth that you are the result of that vast complex book of the story of man? I want to read that book because it is an extraordinary one. What is the instrument with which I read it?

What is the mind and what is the brain? The brain has infinite capacity. What is the distinction between thought and brain? Can thought ever be free from its limitation? The responsibility then is to uncondition the brain, uncondition the limitation which thought imposes on it.

Is there an action, a movement, a state, which is not the movement of thought? Have you ever looked at the beauty of the sea, the vast movement of the tides, the power of the waves, with all your senses and eyes looking?
