Q1: Can one slow down the ageing process of the mind?

Everything wears out through friction. Is it perpetual conflict that wears out the brain? Can the brain which is mechanical, which is constantly active, can it slow down, can its activity stop? What is the motive behind this desire? If there are motives can conflict end?

Q2: How can one face an incurable disease with all the physical pain and agony?

There is psychological pain, the pain of wanting to become, to achieve and the pain of being hurt by another. Physical pain has many causes. Can one observe physical pain, remain with it not being identified with it?

The central factor in both the question of the brain keeping young and of pain is intelligence. So what is intelligence? It is not the clever activity of thought. The quality of intelligence is love, compassion.

Q1: My son died and so did my husband. I find it extremely difficult to let go of the memory of their utter desperation. Could you speak about death and detachment?

Q2: How do you pose a fundamental question? Is holding, observing a question, a thought, is it a thought process?

Q3: I have lived in a forest. How am I to live in the outer world, the real jungle, without becoming part of its competition, brutality, violence and cruelty?

Q1: Is the seeing and listening of which you speak the same seeing and listening we all know? Or does it imply the awakening of a new perception?

What Makes Our Lives So Fragmented?

Seeing everything that is going on in the world which is dangerous, destructive, degenerating, vulgar where does one begin?

Do we realize how fragmented we are in our lives? Does thought seek security in isolation because it is fragmented?

Cause implies the movement of the past which may alter the future. Can the cause be dissolved without a future effect?

Is knowledge ever complete about anything?

If I am very clear why should I demand security?

Are you observing the abstraction of a fact as an idea or observing the fact? What happens when you so observe the cause of division?

An Intelligence Beyond Cause

If one ends the cause then what is beyond cause?

Is the movement of time/thought with its cunning, its capacity to adjust itself intelligence?

Is order born out of desire, disorder? Is there an observation of my disorder and its ending without any cause?

Intelligence is total security, love beyond cause is order, then the universe being order is open.

Can intelligence which has no cause act in our relationship?

If I have no motive in looking at the fact is the fact different from me? Do I see the fact that I think, work, feel, in isolation?

What Are We Human Beings Trying To Become?

What is it that we are trying to become? Will it take time to change the condition of man?

Is thought the instrument of enquiry into the cause of loneliness? Can one observe without the instrument of thought?

Is there an observation of the cause without wanting to transform it? Are we looking at the cause with intelligence which has no cause? Are desire, time, thought, one movement that is causing fear?

Without escape when there is focussing of attention on the cause what happens?

To Listen, To Learn, and To Observe?

Does acting, learning, from the limited brain increase conditioning?

Will learning psychologically accumulated as knowledge in our daily life help bring about clarity? Inwardly is there only observation?

Are beauty, love compassion and intelligence related? And can there be beauty in the external world without understanding beauty of life in oneself?

Anything that continues can be measured. Can I look at continuity without measurement? Is love measurement?

Meditation and the Ending of the Self

What is the cause of conflict? With the ending of cause, is there peace?

Will thought ever end sorrow? Can I with my tears remain with suffering? Will the energy of desire, end sorrow? In ending is the brain seeking a result? If love brings sorrow, is that love?

Our brain is limited, mechanical is it possible to free it from its conditioning?

What is life without a cause, without isolation? Can one live in this appalling, destructive world with intelligence and love which has no cause?

Meditation is freedom from all measurement.
